Women Around the World Can Make A Difference

Wednesday Nights, Jan. 20 - Feb. 10

Join in a great discussion about the book Half the Sky by Nicholas Krisof and Sheryl WuDunn starting Wednesday nights from Jan. 20 to Feb. 10. This book looks at “turning oppression into opportunity for women worldwide.” Greg Mortenson, author of Three Cups of Tea states, “It vividly illustrates how women have turned despair into prosperity and bravely nurtured hope to cultivate a bright future. The book ends with an especially compelling ‘what you can do’ to exhort us all to action.” We will not only discuss this book, but also consider broader lessons about how God calls each of us to respond to the needs of others and a look at how we individually respond to his call.

Sign up for this book group by contacting Jenny Bliley, St. Paul’s Social Worker, at 545-5416 or jbliley@stpauls-episcopal.org.
